Aly Sterling, President

Aly Sterling, CFRE, founder of Aly Sterling Philanthropy, has been working within the non-profit fundraising world for over 15 years, both professionally and in a volunteer capacity.

Aly's expertise includes strategic fundraising, marketing and board and leadership development. Aly has held fundraising positions with organizations of varying size -- from emerging grassroot non-profits, to working for the #1 most integrated health care system in the United States, with an annual budget in excess of $1 billion dollars.

Aly is an alumni of Leadership Toledo, a recipient of the “20 Under 40" award, a Women In Communications Crystals Award winner and a fellowship graduate of an executive leadership program awarded by the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio. Aly is proud to have obtained the distinction of being a Certified Fund Raising Executive Professional (CFRE).

Aly is a frequent presenter on fundraising topics for local, regional and national associations, and is the past president of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Aly was recently published in the Nov/Dec, 2010 issue of Board Member, the official publication of BoardSource. An active volunteer, she holds a current board position with Leadership Toledo, St. Ursula Academy and the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, and former positions with Toledo Area Planned Giving Council and David's House Compassion.
